First vehicle on Ford’s new Universal EV Platform

Coming in 2027

Ford’s most affordableelectric truck is on the way.

On August 6, 2026, Ford named its new midsize electric pickup the Fathom — the first vehicle built on the company’s Universal EV Platform, and the most affordable electric vehicle Ford will sell.

Ford will reveal the truck and open pre-orders in early 2027, with customer deliveries later that year. Until then, our reservation list is how Kitsap drivers stay ahead of it. When Ford opens the door, we call our list first.

A brand-new electric truck for $29,945 delivered. That changes the math for a lot of households on this peninsula.

What We Know So Far

Confirmed by Ford. Updated as more is announced.

Under $30,000 to start

A starting MSRP of $28,350 with the standard-range battery — the lowest entry point of any EV in Ford’s lineup.

Roomier than a RAV4

Five-passenger seating with more projected passenger volume than a Toyota RAV4, plus an open pickup bed.

BlueCruise-capable

Every Fathom is built with the hardware for Ford’s next-generation hands-free highway driving. Activation sold separately.

Bidirectional power

Send power out of the truck — to tools, a job site, or your house during an outage. Useful in a county that loses power to windstorms.

Apple Maps built in

A large high-resolution touchscreen with native Apple Maps, EV route planning, and live traffic. CarPlay and Android Auto supported.

Digital car key

Lock, unlock, and start the truck from a compatible smartphone. No fob required.

Built in Kentucky

Assembled at Ford’s Louisville Assembly Plant, with cells from BlueOval Battery Park in Michigan.

Still to come

Range, battery specs, trim levels, and towing and payload ratings are expected from Ford in early 2027.

Ford Fathom questions.

Does it cost anything to get on the list?

No. Joining the Port Orchard Ford reservation list is free and carries no obligation to purchase. If Ford requires a reservation fee when official pre-orders open, we’ll tell you exactly what it is before you commit to anything.

Does this guarantee me a Fathom?

It does not. Ford hasn’t opened official pre-orders yet and hasn’t announced allocation for individual dealers. What the list guarantees is that you hear from us first, in the order you signed up, when ordering opens.

When can I actually order one?

Ford has said it will reveal the Fathom and begin taking pre-orders in early 2027, with customer deliveries starting later in 2027. We’ll pass along firm dates as soon as Ford releases them.

How far will it go on a charge?

Ford hasn’t published a range figure for the standard-range battery yet. We’ll add it to this page the day it’s announced.

Will there be a markup?

No. Quick, transparent, less complicated is how we sell every vehicle on this lot, and the Fathom will be no different. Your confirmed order is the price you pay at delivery.

Can I reserve one if I live outside Port Orchard?

Absolutely. We serve drivers across the Kitsap Peninsula and beyond — Bremerton, Silverdale, Gig Harbor, Poulsbo, Belfair, and the Tacoma side of the bridge.
