We invited some of the country’s top adventure athletes to take a group of friends out for an exciting weekend adventure. The new 2015 Ford Expedition had the power and capability to make every adventure accessible, comfortable and fun.
Starting at $45,4351

Featuring a standard 365-horsepower 3.5L EcoBoost® V6, Expedition delivers the power you need for accelerating, merging and towing a heavy load. When you’re carrying a heavy load, available rear mechanical load-leveling automatically levels the chassis. The available continuously controlled damping suspension allows you to dial in your preferred ride. Electric power-assisted steering continuously modifies steering feel to the driving situation. And to help keep you stay grounded, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) and traction control are both standard.
Accenting the bold look of the Expedition are a host of standard and optional features that complement its look and leverage its utility, including:
• Available chrome exhaust tip and door handles
• Standard LED fog lamps
• Available halogen projector-beam headlamps
• Luggage rack side rails and crossbars
• Standard running boards; available power-deployable feature
• Available power moonroof
• Standard power-adjustable mirrors; available heat, signal, memory and security approach features
The standard 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine delivers 365 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, giving Expedition a maximum 9,200-lb. towing capacity when properly equipped. Standard trailer sway control works in conjunction with AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll StabilityControl™) to determine from the yaw motion of the vehicle if the trailer is swaying, and takes measures. These include applying precise vehicle braking or reducing engine torque to help bring both vehicle and trailer under control.
From alerting you to vehicles in your blind spot to simply pushing a button to open the liftgate and fold flat the third-row seats to entering and starting your vehicle without a key, these available technology features in Expedition help make things so easy.
The available Forward and Reverse Sensing Systems use innovative ultrasonic sensors in the bumpers to audibly alert you to certain objects when you’re moving forward or backing up at slow speeds. The closer you get, the quicker it beeps.
Whether the driving surface is wet, snow-covered or icy, the available Control Trac® 4-Wheel-Drive System helps provide sure-footed traction. It divides engine torque from front to rear, operating in one of four driver-activated modes:
• 2H (4×2): Power is delivered to rear wheels only. For normal on-road, dry pavement driving.
• 4A (4×4 AUTO): In this mode, electronic control four-wheel-drive power is delivered to all four wheels, as required, for increased traction. For all on-road conditions, including dry road surfaces, wet pavement, snow or gravel.
• 4H (4×4): This setting provides electronically locked four-wheel drive to front and rear wheels. Intended only for severe winter or off-road conditions, such as deep snow, ice or shallow sand. Not recommended for use on dry pavement.
• 4L (4×4 LOW): When extra power at reduced speeds is required, this electronically locked four-wheel-drive mode should be used. Used for off-road, low-speed operation or when extra power is required in situations such as climbing steep grades, going through deep sand or pulling a boat out of water. Not recommended for use on dry pavement.
Available rear mechanical load-leveling automatically levels the chassis when you’re carrying a heavy load, enhancing ride quality, handling and stability. Expedition is engineered with an independent multilink rear suspension that enables each wheel to negotiate bumps and jolts on its own terms. This suspension also helps provide best-in-class* third-row leg room and allows the 60/40 seat to fold flat when you want to carry cargo.
