Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance from other vehicles, and once an appropriate spot is identified, you’re signaled to stop and accept the system’s assistance. While driving slowly near parking spots, activate this feature and Edge will scan for available ones. With a few actions on your part – shifting, accelerating and braking – the vehicle can smoothly parallel park or back into a perpendicular parking space.
The available Lane-Keeping System includes both the lane-keeping alert and the lane-keeping aid. The system can operate during the day or night. Lane-keeping alert warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic driving over a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure. Lane-keeping aid actively applies steering torque*, which alerts you to direct your vehicle back into the target lane should the system detect an unintended lane departure.

Available adaptive cruise control isn’t conventional cruise control. When its radar sensor detects traffic slowing ahead, your vehicle also slows down. After traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the preset speed. This system lets the driver set distance, speed and the time gap between vehicles. Another feature, forward collision warning with brake support, can alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A heads-up display will flash on the windshield. If you don’t react and the system senses that a collision is imminent, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.
Available on SEL and Titanium, along with either the standard Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost® I-4 or available 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 engine, the Class II Towing Package is rated at towing a max of 3,500 pounds trailer tow. Trailer sway control to helps you tow more confidently by automatically determining from the motion of the vehicle if the trailer is swaying. It then takes measures, such as applying precise braking or reducing engine torque, to help keep both the vehicle and the trailer under control.
The available BLIS with cross-traffic alert helps make driving more convenient. It uses radar to detect a vehicle in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror. Cross-traffic Alert helps detect traffic approaching from the sides when backing out of parking spots. Included in available Technology Package.
With the Intelligent Access key in your pocket or purse, just give a little kick under the rear bumper and the available hands-free, foot-activated liftgate automatically opens — making it easier to load and unload cargo. You can also adjust the liftgate height, which is helpful for lower overhangs.
